Here's the second half of my troublesome chapter. Nine is finished but ten isn't even started yet.. I may have to start spacing these out a bit more. I apologize in advance. I just don't write as quickly as other people.

Short chapter this week, actually more like half a chapter and you'll get the other half next week. This chapter fought back hard! My beloved beta reader actually sent me notes like "Seriously?" which were very well deserved but required much rewriting. Thus I am behind and this is as far as I got. You'll get chapter 8b next week then things should return to normal. Unless the next chapter fights back particularly hard as well.

Back when I finished Reassembling I asked if anyone wanted a ficlet to tide them over until the sequel. Two of my loyal commenters made requests. And they're still speaking to me! So here's a bit more of Reassembling.

If Spike went back to New York City in 2002 what would he find left of the scene he was part of back when he killed his second slayer? What would be gone that he might miss? What might be new that he would be into?

I know nothing about punk rock so I'm looking for a bit of background color.
